Raagi Laddu

Raagi/Ragi is a very healthy grain and rich in iron. Many of us who are vegetarians need to look for high iron recipes. So this is a really high iron recipe that is VERY tasty too.


3 cups Ragi flour,  2 cups powdered sugar, 1 ½ cups ghee, cardamom powder, cashewnuts 


  • Heat ghee in a kadai and put ragi flour.
  • Roast for 15 – 20 minutes till dark brown(can make out it is done from  the aroma also).
  • Cool and mix with powdered sugar, cardamom powder and kaju (broken cashewnut pieces).
  • Prepare the laddus by squeezing a handful of the mixture between your palms and making balls.
